This is a virtual experience

AI is rapidly changing how work gets done, but successful adoption requires far more than selecting the right technology. Organizations need trusted leadership, a clear purpose, thoughtful workflow design, practical support, and a people-centered approach to change.

Join ATD Connecticut for an engaging conversation with Scott Anderson, PhD, Senior Principal of Research & Analytics at Prosci, and Laura McGann, Chief People Officer at Prosci. Drawing on Prosci research and real-world experience, Scott and Laura will explore what helps organizations move from AI experimentation to meaningful, sustainable adoption.

About the Program: Through research insights, practical frameworks, authentic stories, and audience interaction, participants will consider how to build trust, engage leaders, reduce resistance, rethink work, and support employees throughout the AI integration journey. The conversation will examine the organizational conditions that distinguish stronger AI implementation efforts from those that struggle, as well as the practical actions change, learning, HR, talent, and organizational-development professionals can take now.

Whether you are leading an AI initiative, designing learning for a changing workforce, supporting leaders and employees through change, or trying to determine where to begin, this program will help you approach AI adoption with greater clarity and confidence. Participants will leave with a practical “Monday morning” list of ideas, questions, and next steps they can apply in their own organizations.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the people, leadership, and organizational conditions that support successful and sustainable AI adoption.

  2. Describe practical change-management approaches for building trust, reducing resistance, and engaging employees in AI-enabled ways of working.

  3. Apply a task-based lens to distinguish among work that should remain human-centered, work that can be enhanced through AI support, and work that may be appropriate for AI-enabled automation.

  4. Recognize the importance of visible, active sponsorship; leadership trust; workforce readiness; and clear communication during AI-enabled organizational change.

  5. Develop a practical “Monday morning” action list to support an AI integration or organizational change effort in their own context.
